Sæterfjellet (597 m.)

From Hommelstø it's approx. 10 km to Sæterlandet. Take off from the main road at the road sign "Bakkan".

The walk up to Sæterfjellet takes between 1-4 hours depending your pace. It is definitely a family friendly mountain. All school-age children can certainly do this trip. All the way there is a nice path, and it is well marked, so you won't get lost.

You start at a forestclad and fairly steep hillside. After you have passed this forest, there are long green plains before the summit. This enchanting, green-clad mountain is quite similar to Scotland and Ireland. From the top there are spectacular views of Velfjord, Outer Brønnøy, Sømna and Vega.
